Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join our Birmingham primary schools in the B18 area. The role focuses on supporting pupils with special educational needs and providing both 1:1 and small group assistance.

You will help adapt lessons, deliver targeted interventions, and promote positive behaviour and inclusion. An enhanced DBS on the update service is required; term-time hours apply with potential for permanent placement for the right candidate.

Job Role: Teaching Assistant

Pay: £90-£105

Contract: Full-time

Location: Birmingham B18

Teaching Personnel are looking for a teaching assistant to join our Birmingham Primary Schools in the B18 area. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable candidate that would be comfortable working with students with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and materials for different learning needs
  • Delivered targeted interventions to support academic, social and emotional development
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement and independence
  • Support pupils, confidence, wellbeing, and inclusion within the classroom
The ideal candidate will have:

An enhanced DBS on the update service

This is a full-time, term-time only role (8:30-3:30pm) on a long-term basis with the potential to become a permanent for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
