Job summary

Lime Trust in Peterborough is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the teaching and learning team and support our learners, promote best practice, and contribute to the aims and ethos of the Trust and its schools.

You will lead the class in the absence of the class teacher for short periods, provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the classroom, and assist in creating a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the class in the absence of the class teacher for short periods
• Provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the classroom
• Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
• Provide expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each learner's learning
• Promote the inclusion of all learners, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop
• Build and maintain successful relationships with learners, treating them with respect and consideration
• Work together with families and other agencies to ensure every learner is valued, challenged and supported
• Have the highest expectation that every learner will make sustained academic and personal progress
• Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
