Job summary

Lime Trust is seeking dedicated support staff to assist pupils with complex physical, medical and learning needs across our schools. You will implement activities, support inclusion, and help learners access learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

Under the direction of the class teacher, you will manage pupil behaviour, help maintain an orderly classroom, and build strong relationships with pupils, families and external agencies to ensure every child progresses.

Qualifications

• Willing to undergo safeguarding checks including DBS disclosure.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with complex physical, medical and learning needs to access learning by implementing activities and interventions.
• Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policy.
• Provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the classroom.
• Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
• Promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, families and other agencies.
