Hays Recruitment is supporting a two-form entry primary school in Warrington in their search for an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to support KS2 on a full-time temporary basis.

Your new role

As a teaching assistant at this school, you will support KS2 classes and collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive, engaging, and stimulating learning environment. Your responsibilities include providing intervention and booster sessions in core subjects, conducting intense sessions for lower/mixed ability groups, and preparing students for SATs in Year 6. You will also support pupils with big personalities who may be disruptive, encouraging participation, using small games to maintain focus, and applying positive behaviour strategies.

What you'll need to succeed

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, be at least Level 3 qualified, and possess recent, referenceable classroom experience. Desirable additional skills include:

  • Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
  • Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions
