This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our nursery team during a significant period of growth and development.
Following the recent expansion of our nursery provision to welcome 2-year-olds, we are looking for a skilled Early Years practitioner to work alongside our experienced and supportive team, helping to create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.
We are seeking someone who has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, sound knowledge of child development within both the birth to three age phase and the 3-4 years age phase, and experience of observing and assessing children's learning.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience of supporting children with additional needs and are passionate about ensuring that all children, regardless of their starting points, have the opportunity to flourish. The successful candidate will play an important role in providing nurturing, individualised support for some children with identified high needs, working collaboratively with families, the SENCo and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes.
Our nursery is a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel safe, respected and cared for. Strong relationships are at the heart of everything we do, recognised by our community and OFSTED.
We believe that children learn best when they feel secure, happy and confident. Through consistent routines, clear expectations and responsive adults, we help children develop a sense of belonging and independence.
We encourage children to make choices, follow their interests and become active participants in their own learning. Our curriculum promotes curiosity, creativity and a love of learning, while ensuring that every child experiences success.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and supportive team, contribute to our expanding provision and make a genuine difference to children's early experiences and outcomes.
Short Heath Federation is an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, keeping children safe in education and promoting British Values in school and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure check and a completed Disqualification by Association form, along with relevant pre-employment checks, including two suitable professional references.
