Job summary

Sunning Hill Primary invites applications for a TA2 Nursery to start Nov/Dec 2026. The role is permanent, part-time (30.75 hours/week, term-time only). The successful candidate will join our nursery team and support early years learners in a caring, inclusive school community.

Essentially you will have a Level 2 childcare qualification, EYFS experience, and strong English/Maths GCSEs. We value teamwork, commitment to development and safeguarding practices in a welcoming setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an EYFS setting.
• GCSE Maths and English grades A-C or 9-4 are required.

TA2 for Nursery - Required from November/December 2026

Term of contract: Permanent

30.75 hours per week, term time only Grade D SCP 6-11 - £18,656 - £20,202 per annum

The Governors of this popular school are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented teaching assistant, to join our dedicated nursery staff team. Please make any specific strengths and interests clear in your application.

The applicant must have a minimum Level 2 qualification in childcare and experience of working within an EYFS setting.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Establish good relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
• Model high standards of spoken and written English to enable effective communication.
• Be a team player with the ability to further develop our strong school ethos
• Hold GCSE Mathematics and English qualification Grades A-C or 9-4 or the equivalent
