Job summary

Lotus Academy, part of Nexus MAT, seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support pupils with SEMH in a specialist environment. You will assist in class and small groups, helping pupils access learning with trauma‑informed approaches. Training and wellbeing support are provided within a caring, evolving team.

The role is full time (term time only) at Lotus Academy in Sheffield, with a focus on building relationships and fostering pupil resilience and growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SEN will be advantageous.
• Ability to respond to emotional, social and mental health needs of children.
• Experience working with pupils aged 6–16 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support whole class lessons, group work and one-to-one assistance with pupils.
• Ensure safety and well-being of pupils, including personal care needs as required.
• Collaborate with teachers and trust staff to deliver personalised learning.
