Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Greater Manchester. The role involves in-class support for SEN pupils and 1:1 and small group assistance to help pupils stay engaged and access learning throughout the day.

Temporary position with potential for permanent in the future; you will work with a team including teachers, SENCO and pastoral staff, in a school with excellent facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with children/young people (schools, care, youth work, coaching or similar).
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• SEN/SEMH experience is essential.
• A degree would be advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to support personal care if required.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
