Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Teaching Assistant - SEND Specialist for a full-time permanent role in Bury, Greater Manchester. You will work in a specialist SEND school supporting students aged 11-19 across five personalised learning pathways, focusing on academic, social and emotional development.

You will deliver tailored learning activities, support therapy programmes, and help students regulate and re-engage, while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND, complex needs, ASD, or SEMH in schools or specialist settings.
• Patience and nurturing approach with high expectations for every student.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong communication with students, families and staff.
• CACHE qualification or NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning desirable.

Responsibilities

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Daily Rate: £550 - £650 per week (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term time
