Job summary

The Active Learning Trust is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for Hillside Primary School & Nursery in Ipswich. You will provide support to teachers, work with individuals and small groups, and help pupils build confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The role focuses on inclusion and meeting the needs of all students, including those with additional needs. You will assist in preparing resources, monitoring progress and reporting wellbeing, under the guidance of teaching staff.

• Supports teaching and learning for individuals and small groups.
• Promotes inclusion, independence, engagement and positive behaviour across the classroom.
• Assists in monitoring and reporting pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning for individuals and small groups, adapting activities to meet pupils' needs.
• Promote inclusion, independence, engagement and positive behaviour across the classroom.
• Assist in monitoring, recording and reporting pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing.
• Support pupils with SEND, personal care, social development and emotional wellbeing where required.
• Prepare learning resources and work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals to support pupil success.
