Job summary

Hillside Primary School in Ipswich is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join our welcoming team. This part-time, fixed-term role runs 32.5 hours per week during term-time (38 weeks) and is funded until 31 August 2027.

You will support learning for individuals and small groups, promote inclusion and positive behaviour, monitor progress, and assist pupils with SEND, helping to build confidence and independence in a caring school community.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning for individuals and small groups, adapting activities to meet pupils’ needs.
• Promote inclusion, independence, engagement and positive behaviour across the classroom.
• Assist in monitoring, recording and reporting pupil progress, attainment and wellbeing.
• Support pupils with SEND, personal care, social development and emotional wellbeing where required.
• Prepare learning resources and work collaboratively with staff, parents and external professionals to support pupil success
