Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School invites applications for Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will work with teachers to implement activities, support SEND pupils and manage behaviour to promote inclusive learning.

The position is 30 hours per week, term time (38 weeks), permanent, with opportunities for professional development and safeguarding training. We live and learn with Jesus and value a caring school community.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience with pupils with SEND is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt approach to meet different children's needs; safeguarding is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in the classroom and with individuals or small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions under direction of the class teacher and SENDCO.
• Support pupils with SEND including ADHD, ASD, SEMH or SLCN.
• Promote inclusive, safe learning environments and positive behaviour.
