Job summary

Grosvenor Road Primary is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support children's learning under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo. The post is a 1-year fixed term, with potential extension subject to funding; experience with SEN is advantageous and a DBS check is required.

Applicants should have good literacy and numeracy, be flexible, and willing to undertake training. Salford City Council cannot sponsor visas, and a right to work in the UK is necessary.

In the first instance, this is a 1-year fixed term post to support an individual child in Reception, with special educational needs. Subject to funding, the post of TA2 may continue beyond the fixed term.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support children’s learning, working under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo.

Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs will be an advantage.

The person appointed will have high standards and expectations in all areas of school life and will be committed to a flexible team work approach.
