Job summary

Maghull High School is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join the Inclusion Team and support students who experience difficulties across curriculum areas.

The successful candidate will work with the SENCO and Assistant SENCO, help with administrative tasks, keep detailed records, and communicate with students, families and partner schools to advocate for each learner.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting students with SEND is beneficial, though not essential.
• Ability to collaborate with SENCO and staff to support students across curriculum and non-curriculum areas.
• Strong record-keeping and administrative support required.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate anddedicated Teaching Assistant to join ourInclusion Team at Maghull High School. The successful candidate will bekey in ensuring positive outcomes for the students who experience difficultiesin one or more area of need. Our Inclusion Team staff are fulfilled by the ideaof making positive changes for our young people, often acting as their advocateas they navigate their way through school. There will be lots of ups and downs,but to many of our young people, the support offered by their trusted team ofadults is the most important thing to ensure success. Our actions may sometimesseem small on the surface, but they can mean a massive difference to ourstudents.

We are dedicated to supporting students with SEND and arelooking for motivated candidates who will take responsibility for the provisionfor some of our most complex and vulnerable students, supporting theirachievement across all curriculum and non-curriculum areas in school. Previousexperience in supporting students as a teaching assistant is not essential; theright person to effectively support our young people is.

Workingalongside the SENCO and Assistant SENCO you will support with administrativeprocesses and be expected to keep accurate and detailed records.

Thesuccessful candidate will be required to confidently collaborate andcommunicate with students, staff, families and a range of external services andpartner schools.
