Job summary

St Catherine's CE Primary (Horwich) is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support KS1 learners, with a focus on early reading and phonics. The role is 23 hours per week during term time plus five days, on a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will work under teaching staff to support pupils, foster confidence, and contribute to a caring school community rooted in Christian values. Experience in KS1 and phonics is essential.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1 teaching assistant.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of how to support children in Key Stage 1, particularly with early reading (phonics).

• Is an experienced teaching assistant with experience of KS1 and of teaching phonics.

To work with and supervise individuals and groups of pupils under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff.
