Job summary

Church Road Primary in Bolton is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 (SEN Support) on a permanent basis. The role is 33.75 hours per week during term time plus 5 days, with hours 8.30am–3.45pm, Monday to Friday.

You will support pupils with a range of SEND, implement interventions, and contribute to an inclusive, caring learning environment to help each child reach their full potential.

Salary: Grade D (SCP 6 11) plus SEN allowance

Actual Salary: £20,970 - £22,707 plus SEN allowance

We are looking for a passionate, caring and dedicated Special Needs Assistant who is committed to making a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs. The successful candidate will have experience supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including cognition and learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs, sensory and/or physical needs, and speech, language and communication needs.

We are seeking an individual who is patient, compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic, with a genuine belief in the potential of every child. You will have the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, understand their individual needs and adapt your approach to help remove barriers to learning and promote their confidence, independence, wellbeing and achievement.

Above all, we want someone who is passionate about creating an inclusive, nurturing and supportive environment where every pupil feels valued, understood and empowered to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver any interventions / programmes recommended by professionals.
