Kingsmead Academy in Taunton is seeking a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join the SEND team. The role is 31.75 hours per week, term time only with inset days, supporting pupils with a range of learning, communication and social needs.

You will work under the SENDCO, help prepare resources and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment. Applicants should have a genuine commitment to inclusion, be patient, supportive and able to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with children and commitment to inclusion.
• Understanding of enabling access to learning and progress.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Strong communication and teamwork with parents and professionals.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.

Responsabilités

• Provide care and supervision for students in class and across the school.
• Prepare learning resources and support materials with teaching staff.
• Support delivery of learning activities to access the curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, engaging learning environment and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with SENDCO and colleagues to support diverse needs.
