Job summary

The Active Learning Trust is hiring at Highfield Littleport Academy in Littleport for Level 1 Teaching Assistant positions. The role supports teachers by working with individuals and small groups to foster independence, build confidence and support both learning and wellbeing.

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent. Typical pattern 32.5 hours across 39 weeks, with on-site duties in a close-knit, caring school community committed to making a difference for children aged 2-19.

• Help pupils understand instructions, remain engaged and develop independence in learning and play
• Assist with behaviour support, inclusion and the emotional and social wellbeing of pupils
• Prepare and maintain learning environments, resources and displays to support lessons
• Contribute to pupil supervision, record keeping, safeguarding and the safe running of daily school activities

  Due to continued growth and expansion, we are are recruiting for Level 1 Teaching Assistant positions to join the team at Highfield Littleport Academy, supporting teachers to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment for pupils with additional needs. These roles are central to daily classroom life, working with individuals and small groups to encourage independence, build confidence and support both learning and wellbeing.

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Working Pattern: Monday 8.30am to 4.00pm, Tuesday to Friday 8.40am to 3.30pm (32.5 hours, 39 weeks) Salary: ALT Grade C Actual Salary £19,417.99 - £19,568.43 plus retention allowance £2749.59 - £2770.89
