Job summary

Highfield Littleport Academy, part of Active Learning Trust, is recruiting Level 1 Teaching Assistants to support teachers in creating a safe, inclusive learning environment for pupils aged 2-19 with additional needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning with individuals or small groups under the classroom teacher.
• Help pupils understand instructions, stay engaged and develop independence in learning and play.
• Assist with behaviour support, inclusion and the emotional and social wellbeing of pupils.
• Prepare and maintain learning environments, resources and displays to support lessons.
• Contribute to pupil supervision, safeguarding and the safe running of daily school activities.
