Job summary

The Loyne Specialist School in Lancaster is seeking three Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming staff team. You will work with children and young people with special needs, supporting learning and wellbeing in a nurturing environment.

The role requires flexibility across the setting and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education. Hours are Monday to Friday, term-time only, with a pro-rata salary.

Qualifications

• GCSE English A-C or equivalent.
• Relevant Child Care qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with or caring for children and young people.

• Demonstrate dedication and flexibility across the setting to support school vision and values.

Teaching Assistant Role

We are now seeking to recruit 3committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join ourwelcoming and supportive staff team. We are searching for people with a positive work ethos and a passion for working with children and young people with special needs and disabilities. We are truly child-centred and we want staff who will support the best possible outcomes for all of our learners through our engaging, innovative and nurturing school environment. In addition to our education offer, we also have a separate adult provision called the Grizedale Centre that supports young people to manage their own wellbeing, physical and emotional health and promotes their presence and opportunities in the local community.

You must be able to demonstrate a dedication and a willingness to work flexibly, in any part of our setting, to support and enhance the vision and values of our school. You must be able to form positive relationships with children and young adults with special needs, and be willing to undertake various duties to support them, including ensuring they remain safe, developing their physical abilities and supporting their behaviour. The role will also include supervision and assistance with feeding, toileting (including changing) and personal care.

Working Hours and Salary

The hours of our Teaching Assistant roles are Monday to Friday 8.45 a.m. – 3.15 p.m. term time only. The salary quoted will be applied on a pro-rata basis.

Qualifications
