Job summary

Ash Hill Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 1 to work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, usually within a classroom with the teacher. You will support pupils to access learning and provide general support to the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.

The role is full-time and temporary, starting in November 2026, with the academy emphasising ambition, excellence and a vibrant educational culture.

Nationally, just 18.6% of white working-class pupils achieve a Grade 5+ strong pass in English and Maths. At Ash Hill Academy, 40% of this cohort secured Grade 5+/5+, more than double the national average.
