Job summary

Castleford Park Junior Academy is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant with Lunchtime Supervision responsibilities to support pupils' learning and well-being in and out of the classroom. You will work Monday to Friday, mornings and lunchtime, assisting in lessons, supporting pupils with SEND, managing groups, and promoting a safe, inclusive environment.

A GCSE A*-C in Maths and English (or equivalent) and ICT competence are required, with a willingness to develop professionally through internal

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English at grades A*-C/4+
• Demonstrated numeracy and literacy proficiency
• Able to work in a team and use ICT effectively
• Experience with pupils with SEND preferred
• Willing to engage in regular professional development
• Experience in supporting pupils in a classroom setting

Responsibilities

• Support learning and pupil progress within the classroom and during lunchtimes
• Use a range of classroom strategies and assessments to aid learning
• Support pupils’ personal needs and manage group or 1-1 support
• Provide feedback to teachers after planned activities
• Collaborate with inclusion team to help pupils access the curriculum
• Report safeguarding concerns promptly to the designated officer
• Support pupil safety and welfare in the academy
• Take part in internal and external CPD opportunities
• Value and listen to pupil and team input
