Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is hiring a General Classroom Teaching Assistant (KS1) in Penwortham for a full-time, long-term placement starting November 2026.

You will provide classroom-based support to pupils and teachers across the KS1 curriculum, helping with phonics, reading, writing, and early maths development. The role requires previous classroom experience, a positive and proactive attitude, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a classroom setting is essential.
• TA qualification Level 2 or 3 is desirable but not essential.
• Solid understanding of KS1 curriculum and child development.

General Classroom Teaching Assistant (KS1) - Full Time

Location: Penwortham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:30pm

Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour

Start Date:November 2026

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role within a welcoming primary school? We are currently recruiting for a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Penwortham, providing classroom-based support to pupils and teachers across Key Stage 1.

The Role

Requirements
