Job summary

Kirkham's vibrant primary school seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support KS1 and KS2 across the school day. The role is full-time with a fixed schedule, paying £14.25 per hour, starting November 2026.

You will assist with literacy and numeracy, help deliver engaging lessons, and support pupils' social and academic development in a warm, collaborative environment. Applicants should have classroom experience and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience supporting children within a classroom environment.
• Confident working with pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to use initiative and adapt to different classes and learners.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.

8:45am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

A vibrant primary school in Kirkham is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide support across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys the variety of working with pupils of different ages and abilities, supporting teaching and learning throughout the school day.

As a General Classroom Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to help create engaging learning experiences and ensure pupils remain motivated, included, and supported in reaching their potential.

• Supporting pupils during whole-class lessons, group activities and independent work.
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy and other curriculum-based activities.
• Working with small groups of children who require additional support.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
• Preparing classroom resources and assisting with daily classroom routines.
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development.
