Job summary

Bond Recruitment is seeking a Teaching Assistant KS1 to join a primary school in Hackney, London, starting in October 2026. You will support the class teacher and pupils across the school day, assisting with learning, development and daily classroom activities.

The role offers a full-time, long-term placement with a competitive daily rate of £100–£117, depending on experience, Monday to Friday, 8.30am–3.30pm, with ongoing support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a primary school is desirable.
• Experience with Key Stage 1 children would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day running of the classroom.
• Work with children across Key Stage 1 and support learning and development.
• Provide individual and small-group support where required.
• Help children engage with classroom activities and develop confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with reading, writing, phonics, numeracy and general learning.
• Help maintain a positive, calm and engaging classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage a love of learning.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team.

We are currently recruiting for a friendly, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school in Hackney, London, from October.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to work within Key Stage 1, supporting the class teacher and pupils across the school day.

You will be working as part of the classroom team, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment and providing support to children with their learning, development and day-to-day classroom activities.

The Role
