James Bateman Middle School is a “good school” (Ofsted – July 2023). We encourage all pupils to be the best that they can be, seeing each individual as unique, with their own strengths and areas to improve. Our pupils enjoy their lessons; they are inspired to be inquisitive about their learning. Staff have high expectations of all pupils and provide challenge that enables them to realise their potential.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in KS2 and/or KS3. You will be joining an experienced and rapidly developing team responsible for supporting pupils across all areas of the curriculum. As well as working in a whole class setting you will be responsible for working, unsupervised in the learning support area planning and delivering personalised intervention programmes.
We are a Dyslexia Friendly School; you will have some responsibility for the continued development of these strategies and will be innovative in the creation of new resources.
If you are energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic, have a positive outlook and enjoy a challenge, and feel you have what it takes to improve the outcomes for our SEND pupils, you will enjoy working within this team. In return you can expect a comprehensive package of well-being support and ongoing professional development.
