Job description

Job Title: Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and friendly primary school in Islington on a full-time basis.

Details:
  • Days: Monday - Friday
  • Start Date: After the Easter break
  • Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay rate is dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and clear the classroom for lessons to ensure a safe, clean environment
  • Assist teachers with lesson materials and equipment
  • Record and report pupil progress
  • Help pupils stay focused during lessons
  • Supervise group activities, sports, and outings
  • Support teachers in managing student behaviour
  • Look after children who are unwell or upset
  • Maintain a healthy and safe learning environment
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills with teachers and pupils
  • Ability to create an encouraging learning environment

  • Knowledge of curriculum requirements

All pay rates include statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary role, with potential for permanency later.
