Job Description:

An inclusive mainstream Primary School in the North London borough of Islington is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team for the new academic year starting September 2024. This is a full-time, long-term role until at least July 2025.

This role is ideal for graduates and aspiring professionals such as:

  • Social Workers / Youth Workers
  • Primary Teachers
  • Graduates with experience and career aspirations working with SEN

The successful candidate will have proven experience supporting children with various needs. Responsibilities include collaborating with Teachers, SENCOs, and Therapists to support students through 1:1 interventions, small group activities, and classroom support.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support a variety of SEN including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Global Developmental Delay
  • Assist with preparing learning activities, displays, resources, and visual supports
  • Start date: September 2024
  • Long-term, full-time position
  • Location: Primary School in the London Borough of Islington
  • Pay: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
