Job summary

Randstad Education in Chester is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils across diverse classrooms, 1:1 and small groups, with ALN needs. The role emphasizes building confidence and inclusion.

You will work with class teachers and SENCo, with DBS and EWC registration required or pending; Level 2/3 childcare desirable. Roles available across Chester and surrounding areas with day-to-day supply or long-term placements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an education setting or youth-support role.
• Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
• Enhanced DBS check and EWC Registration (or willingness to apply).
• Childcare qualification (Level 2/3) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to boost their confidence and progress during lessons.
• Providing tailored support for pupils with ALN and implementing creative strategies to help them thrive.
• Partnering with class teachers and other professionals to review student progress and set up classroom activities.
• Lending a helping hand with lunch and break duties to ensure a safe, fun school day.
• Prioritizing student well-being by reporting any concerns directly to the SENCo.
