Job summary

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Teaching Assistant or equivalent
• GCSE Math and English with a pass or functional skills
• Experience of working with children in a primary school setting

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals or small groups of pupils under supervision, providing feedback on progress and behaviour.
• Support pupils in understanding instructions and encourage independent learning and inclusion for all.
• Assist the teacher in managing pupil behaviour and keeping pupils engaged and on task.
• Support pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing and attend to physical care needs.
• Prepare and clear learning environments and resources, including photocopying and displaying pupils’ work.
• Contribute to pupil behaviour management to allow lesson continuation.

Education

Level 3 in Teaching Assistant, or equivalent
