Lift East Wichel is an Ofsted Outstanding school seeking a collaborative Teaching Assistant to support learning and access to the curriculum. You will work alongside teachers to boost independence, self-esteem and social inclusion, helping pupils develop skills to manage their own learning.

We value a calm, patient communicator with GCSE in Maths and English, who will contribute to a welcoming, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or willingness to work towards functional skills.
• Good communication skills and a calm approach when faced with different situations.
• Patience and empathy when understanding the needs and challenges of students.
• Be a reflective person, aware of your strengths and open to feedback.

Responsabilités

• Understand students' learning needs, including SEND needs, so they can access lesson content and achieve learning goals.
• Work together with teachers to plan, deliver and assess high quality lessons.
• Guide individual and small group sessions within agreed plans.
• Build positive relationships with students and support positive behaviours.
• Support the social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing of all students.
• Work with teaching staff, pastoral staff, the SENDCO and parents or carers to support every student.
