Retford Oaks Academy in Retford is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support teachers and SENDCo in delivering planned activities for individuals and groups. The role includes classroom and non-classroom support, materials preparation, and helping pupils access holistic development.

The ideal candidate will have GCSE English and maths at grade C or above, NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent, and experience with young people, including those with SEND/ disabilities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and maths at C (or above)
• NVQ level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience with knowledge of national curriculum
• Experience of working with young people
• Experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities

Responsabilités

• To work under the guidance of teaching staff/Inclusion/SENDCo, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom
• Assist the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources
• Ensure pupils have access to holistic development
