Job summary

Lift East Wichel Community Primary School, part of Lift Schools, is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support learning and help pupils access the curriculum with confidence in Swindon.

You will collaborate with teachers to deliver and assess lessons, support pupils with SEND needs, and foster independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. GCSEs at grade 4+ are expected, with progression routes available.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above or equivalent.
• Good communication and a calm, supportive approach with students.
• Able to work reflectively within a team and take feedback.

Responsibilities

• Understand learners’ needs, including SEND, to help access lessons.
• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons with teachers.
• Guide individual and small group sessions within planned frameworks.
• Build positive relationships and support behaviour and wellbeing.
• Support social, emotional, and mental health needs of all pupils.
• Collaborate with staff, SENDCO and carers to support every student.
