Job summary

Lift Ashingdon is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team, working 23.75 hours per week to support learners alongside teachers. You’ll help pupils access learning, build confidence and participate in lessons, including those with specific SEND needs.

You don't need years of experience—just a caring attitude, a willingness to learn and a calm, patient approach. Opportunities for Level 3/5 TA diplomas and future teacher training are available.

Qualifications

• You don’t need years of experience—care, willingness to learn and a can-do attitude are valued.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (or willingness to work towards them), good communication skills, calm and patient approach.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to access learning, including those with SEND needs.
• Help pupils build confidence and independent learning skills.
• Deliver targeted individual and small-group interventions.
• Support teachers with learning, assessment and monitoring progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
