Job summary

Stanstead Flying High Academy is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to join on a temporary contract for the academic year. You will support children across the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

Whether supporting the whole class, small groups, or 1:1 with pupils with additional needs, you will help every child feel safe, happy and able to achieve their potential within an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills required.
• Ability to work well with children and families.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during teacher-led activities, encouraging independence and active participation.
• Prepare and maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment, including displays and resources.
• Promote positive behaviour and support children's social development during learning and break times.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and families to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and model safeguarding procedures and school values.
