A large school with over 200 staff and 1,700 students is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work within the Special Educational Needs Department, supporting the effective operation of the SEND provision on a day-to-day basis in the school.
This opportunity is specifically aimed at recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching. The school are founder members of the Gloucestershire Initial Teacher Education Partnership (GITEP), which is rated by OFSTED as 'Outstanding'. They offer tailored support to help with your application to GITEP and as you progress in your career. Starting with us does not imply a firm commitment to train as a teacher; the appointment is a fixed contract that provides an opportunity to decide whether to pursue teaching as a career.
You will work 30.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week).
Graduates in Maths, English, or Science are desirable, but other subject specialists will also be considered.
