Job summary

Westlands First School in Worcestershire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learning from Nursery through Year 4. The role requires flexibility to work across the school and assist with lessons and supervision as needed.

The position is permanent and part-time (32.5 hours per week), with a pro rata salary of £21,283–£25,007 depending on experience. The school offers CPD, a warm team, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils to access learning.
• To assist with general care and welfare of pupils, including personal hygiene routines.
• To support implementation of programmes designed by other professionals.
• To apply positive behaviour strategies to enable pupils to access learning.

Westlands First School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our lovely, nurturing school. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible and work across the school, supporting children and assisting the learning from Nursery to Year 4. The role will include some cover supervision across all year groups.

We are looking to appoint someone who is aspirational and determined to help our pupils achieve their best.

Job Requirements:

• To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils, to enable them to access learning and make the best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
• To assist with the provision of general care and welfare of pupils, including assisting with personal hygiene routines
• To assist in the implementation of programmes and strategies designed by other professionals such as Educational Psychologists and Speech Language Therapists
• To use positive behaviour strategies to enable the pupil to access learning and where appropriate, to know and apply positive physical handling techniques.

The right candidate will have:

• A good basic education to GCSE with a minimum Grade C GCSE in English and Maths
