Job summary

TeachMatch in Cheltenham is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school from September 2026, for full-time placement supporting students with diverse needs.

These roles offer long-term potential, with ongoing guidance from a dedicated education consultant and the chance to secure permanent placements within a welcoming team.

Experience in SEN or mainstream settings is preferred; a patient, caring, resilient approach and a valid DBS (update service) are required.

We're currently recruiting for several dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Cheltenham from September

These are full-time roles working with children who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with additional needs
• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom management
• Helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Managing challenging behaviour calmly and professionally
• Supporting student's emotional and social development

Requirements

• Experience working in an SEN or mainstream school environment
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
