Job summary

Vision for Education are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Gloucester and surrounding areas. The role involves working with teachers to aid learning, support pupils with SEN and behavioural needs, and foster inclusive classrooms.

We welcome applicants with experience in education, childcare, care, youth work, coaching or mentoring. An Enhanced DBS is required or willing to apply, with suitable references and safeguarding checks. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required or willing to apply for one.
• Appropriate safeguarding checks and references.
• Desirable: experience in education, childcare, care, youth work, coaching or mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils individually or in small groups.
• Help children access their learning and complete classroom activities.
• Provide additional support to pupils needing extra encouragement.
• Help manage behaviour and promote positive routines.
• Support social, emotional and communication development.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and work with teachers and SENCOs.
