Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a friendly Spennymoor school. The role is full-time and temporary, running five days a week from 8.30am to 3.30pm to support a Year 1 pupil with autism and sensory needs on a 1:1 basis.

Salary is paid weekly (£462.80–£525) depending on experience and qualifications, with ASAP start through July 2027. The school offers a supportive leadership team and accessible public transport.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The School and Role

On behalf of Advanced Learning Partnership, we are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly school in Spennymoor, DL16. Workingas part of an established team, the Teaching Assistant will be supporting a child in Year 1 with additional needs on a 1:1 basis. The needs of the child includes Autism and sensory awareness. The role would be 5 days a week, 8.30am - 3.30pm. Experience working with children with SEND would be essential. The school has a supportive senior leadership team and can be accessed on public transport.

Requirements

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
