Job summary

Devon County Council is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum. You will deliver targeted interventions and promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.

Working under the direction of the class teacher, you will liaise with other professionals inside and outside the school.

• To deliver targeted interventions.
• To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
• To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
• You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion.
• There will be some aspects of working with SEND pupils 1:1 or small group work. Our trust started life as a small group of schools in South Devon and our founding schools have been working together since 2006. We have a wonderfully diverse family of 29 primary schools which range from two-class village schools to much larger, urban primaries, which benefit greatly from working collaboratively, sharing collective experience, and providing support and inspiration to one another.
