Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a Plymouth primary/secondary setting. You will work closely with teachers to help students engage with lessons, build confidence, and develop academic and personal skills.

The role involves one-to-one support and small groups, helping create an inclusive, positive learning environment and promoting wellbeing. Strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS, NVQ, Cache or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a UK school.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable).

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. To Be Eligible, You Must

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional, child-related references
• The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy.
