Job summary

Dovery Academy invites applications for a Teaching Assistant role to join a growing, child-centred team in Leighton Buzzard. The successful candidate will support pupils with learning needs, assist with lesson planning for interventions, and help create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment.

We welcome graduates seeking teaching experience or experienced TAs looking for career development within our expanding school community and MAT framework.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a primary school setting.
  • Experience of working with children with SEN (special educational needs).
  • Be organised, flexible, collaborative and resilient, and prepared to tackle challenges as we establish our schools.
  • Have excellent Numeracy and ICT skills and demonstrate exemplary written and spoken English.
  • Commitment to professional development and further training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support small groups of pupils independently.
  • Deliver and assist with planning external interventions.
  • Support pupils with SEN as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong Numeracy and ICT skills in daily tasks.
  • Participate in staff training and CPD activities.

About this Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Ideally have experience of working with children with special educational needs (SEN)
