Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in Dudley on a contract basis. The pay is £18.00 per hour and hours are flexible, providing a varied schedule for the right candidate.

You will support students 2:1 in home or residential settings, developing personalised learning strategies, and adapting teaching approaches for diverse needs, including SEN/SEMH. A DBS check on update service is preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Professional TA qualifications, subject specialism, or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science
• Experience working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH)
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Working 2:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments)
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support with re-engagement in education
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style
