Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Bootle. The role supports students across KS3 and KS4, helping them engage with learning, build confidence and reach their goals.

Open to experienced TAs, graduates, or those with transferable experience working with young people. You’ll work with teachers to deliver lessons, support individuals and groups, and foster an inclusive learning environment with strong relationships across the school

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, staff and parents.
• Patience, caring attitude and proactive approach to support learning needs.
• Confidence helping students with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Experience or qualifications in education, childcare, youth work, coaching or mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across subjects.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Provide additional support to students with SEND, SEMH or other needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
• Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a safe space.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
