Job summary

Milk Education is partnering with a welcoming secondary school in South Liverpool to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support KS3 and KS4 students. The role offers opportunities across a mix of full-time, part-time and long-term contracts with permanent opportunities available.

You will assist teachers, support individuals and groups, and help create an inclusive learning environment while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people; school-based preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, caring and proactive approach.
  • Confident supporting students with varying learning needs.
  • Genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications or transferable experience in education, childcare, youth work, coaching or mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Provide additional support to students with SEND, SEMH or other learning needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a safe learning space.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate, or someone with transferable experience working with young people, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing:

We would love to hear from candidates who have:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
