Job summary

Crispin School Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a permanent contract starting as soon as possible. 6 hours per day, 4 days a week (Wed included), term-time plus 2 days pro rata, with 24.5 hours per week and a Monday training session. The role supports learning for students including those with English as an Additional Language and SEND needs.

Job description

Permanent contract to start as soon as possible.
Grade 14, points 4-6, current starting salary £26,016 FTE per annum, actual starting salary £14,524 per annum (£13.48 per hour).
6 hours per day, 08:30-15:10, less a 40 minute break, across 4 days, to include Wednesday.
Paid at 24.5 hours per week to include fortnightly 1 hour Monday training session 15:15 to 16:15 38.4 working weeks (term time plus 2 days, pro rata).

As Teaching Assistant your role will be to support learning with individuals and groups of students. As part of this role you will be working with our students who use English as Additional Language (EAL), no previous experience required. You will be part of our SEND, lead by the SENDCo and supported by the Assistant SENDCo.

Candidates will need to demonstrate:
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ability to carry out administrative tasks to support the SEND team in the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
