Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEND school in Rochdale, supporting pupils with complex needs.

The role involves supporting learning, communication, personal development and independence, and managing challenging behaviour within a specialist classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide consistent, nurturing and individualised support for pupils.

Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting children or young people in a SEND school or specialist provision.
• Experience supporting pupils with complex SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
• Confident working in high-needs environments.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to apply for one.
• Provide a full employment and education history with references.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with recent SEND experience who is confident supporting pupils with complex needs, SEMH and challenging behaviour.
