Job summary

Alsager School is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support teachers and pupils across classes, helping with learning activities and welfare, under guidance of the SENDCo and class teachers.

You will assist planning, monitor progress, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment, including safeguarding and personal care as required, with a focus on pupil development and well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an educational setting is desirable.
• Ability to work with teaching staff to support learning activities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in delivering learning activities and programmes.
• Support planning and evaluation of learning activities for groups and individuals.
• Supervise pupils to ensure safety and support development.
• Monitor pupil progress and report findings to staff.
• Liaise with parents and carers regarding pupil wellbeing.
• Prepare and maintain learning equipment and classroom spaces.
• Attend meetings and contribute to staff training as required.
• Assist with personal, social and physical needs of pupils.
