Job summary

Spring Cottage Primary School in East Hull is seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to support teachers and help pupils reach their potential.

You will assist with learning activities, prepare resources, and help care for children in a safe, nurturing environment. This 1-year apprenticeship offers hands-on experience and progression toward a Level 3 qualification through Hull Business Training Centre Limited.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom to help them achieve their learning goals
• Promote the welfare, safeguarding, and wellbeing of all children
• Assist with pupils’ personal care where required
• Help prepare classrooms, learning resources, and displays
• Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and participation in learning
• Support reading, literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities
• Build positive relationships with pupils and act as a positive role model
• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Assist with record-keeping and general classroom administration
• Support pupils during break times, clubs, and extracurricular activities
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
